Building Hope: Celebrating Our First Year of Progress
The Father’s House Oroville Community Land Trust (CLT) was founded with a simple but powerful goal: to make homeownership possible for local families through affordable housing and community partnership. As we close our first year, we’re reflecting on the milestones that have turned this vision into reality — thanks to the generosity and support of our incredible community.
Breaking Ground on Our First Home
This year, we broke ground on our very first housing project — a single-family home designed for a single mom raising a child with special needs. Once completed, this home will be sold at 20% below market value, opening the door to stable, long-term homeownership for a family that deserves it most.
This project was made possible through a unique partnership between Steve Orsillo Construction, generous donors, and construction financing that demonstrates how faith and collaboration can bring hope to life. Every nail driven represents more than just building materials — it represents opportunity, dignity, and the power of community-driven change.
Securing Over $112,500 in Grants and Donations
In our first year, we were also able to raise more than $112,500 in grants and donations, fueling our ability to continue expanding affordable housing opportunities in Oroville. These funds came from individuals, local organizations, and grant-making partners who believe in the importance of keeping families in their communities.
This financial support will help us launch additional projects in the years ahead, providing affordable, safe homes for families who are ready to build a better future but face barriers to traditional homeownership.
Looking Ahead
Our first year marks only the beginning. The Father’s House Oroville CLT is continuing to grow, guided by the principles of community empowerment, long-term affordability, and sustainability. Each project we undertake is a step toward creating lasting solutions that strengthen neighborhoods and build generational stability.
We’re grateful to everyone who has supported this mission — through donations, partnerships, volunteer work, or simply spreading the word. Your belief in affordable housing helps turn dreams into foundations for the future.
If you’d like to join us in shaping a stronger, more connected Oroville, we invite you to learn more, give, or volunteer today.
Together, we’re not just building homes — we’re building hope.
